REVIEW OF MY STAY IN HOTEL PARK AT VERAVAL

I would like to share here my experience about my stay in Hotel Park at Veraval with my family.

My stay at hotel park  -  7/8/9^th nov-13.

I stayed in Hotel Park with my family between 7^th to 10 Nov. 2013. Hotel Park has an advantage of a very good location, as it is well connected to Somnath and Sasan Gir and Diu. Visiting Somnath temple is very convenient as it is about 10 kms distance and one can go by auto. The hotel staff will arrange auto or taxi to visit nearby places, as may be required. The hotel is very old, and so the air conditioners. The hotel needs painting etc. to look as new as shown in its website. In some rooms ACs are making noise. However, the most satisfying part is that the rooms and toilets are very spacious. Except in summer season, AC and Non-AC room will not make any difference. The staff is very hospitable, co-operative, friendly and helpful, but obviously is not very professional or well trained as found in cities. The hotel surroundings are good. There is a swimming pool; however it was not operational due to winter. The hotel charges were moderate; however food was not so good, the reason is unprofessional or untrained staff. For best quality food, one can go to hotel Grand Daksh which is at a walking distance of less than 10 minutes (1/2 kilometers) from Hotel Park. The quality and taste of food is really great and really satisfying and one should never miss it after coming in Veraval. Staying at Hotel Grand Daksh would naturally be more costly; however it is an individual choice. I would certainly recommend staying at Hotel Park for its room size and the surroundings, and Hotel Grand Daksh for best food.  Before planning trip to Somnath, I had seen many other hotels on website, and then saw them actually while travelling in auto. I consider myself fortunate to have made the choice to stay in Hotel Park.
