ANGER - 3 - EASY STEPS ON - HOW TO CONTROL YOUR ANGER - THE MAN’S WORST ENEMY

HOW TO CONTROL ANGER - THE MAN’S WORST ENEMY :

Out of the man’s enemies like lust, anger, greed, illusion, pride, jealousy, fear, egoism, sense of power, arrogance, hypocrisy etc. etc. anger is one of the worst. If you want to remain happy, stay young, get rid of facial wrinkles, and have a healthy long life then please control your anger. Never get angry. Do not dwell in the past; forget the sorrows and difficulties you have faced earlier; deleting the painful memories of the past will keep you joyful;  live in the present and think of the best future. This will ultimately result in having a magnificent, confident and radiant looks. Find the answer to the common questions – How do I control my anger, how to control my anger which I can’t, and a universal guaranteed remedy for this.

Anger is also a known cause of a large variety of ailments ranging from high blood pressure to heart attacks. Anger can lead to all forms of conflicts ranging from petty quarrels to world wars.

Bhagvad Gita describes anger as “one of the gates that leads to hell”.

Also, in (2.63) it describes ........

In case of a person who dwells on the objects, there arises an attachment for them.

From attachment comes hankering

Hankering, when obstructed from any quarter, springs anger.

Anger follows delusion
(i.e. Absence of discrimination with regard to what should be done or what should not be done)

Delusion leads to loss of memory
(i.e. memory that is originating from the impressions acquired from the instructions of the scriptures and teachers fails to occur)

Loss of memory leads to loss of understanding
(i.e. failure to discriminate between right and wrong)

Due to loss of understanding, one perishes.

When our desires, plans and expectations for control and enjoyment are thwarted, the resentment and frustration expresses itself through harsh words and / or violent actions.

At a party, a provoked brother stabbed his younger one to death. He was arrested, tried and sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. In prison he now regrets his erratic behaviour due to anger. Also, his family is grieving for the double tragedy that struck the family. Any action taken in a wave of excitation due to anger, gives ample time for repentance.

The modern media with its vivid depiction of violence portrays anger as a heroic quality, as the quintessential psyche of the macho man. But is it really so?

Watch out, what your children are watching on TV.

Most people recognize that in real life anger is not a pleasant emotion, yet they savour the violent scenes in movies. And then, strangely enough, they wonder why they themselves, in fits of anger, speak such words and do such deeds which break the hearts of their loved ones and which they themselves bitterly regret later.

Step – 1  -  So, “When angry, count ten before you speak; if very angry, count hundred”

Step – 2  -  Anger being fiery can be cooled by a sip of water. So, sip water.

Step – 3  -  Chant the holy names of your God.
